May: Randall Jarrell Prize for Poetry: Marjorie won both Honorable Mention (“Haymaking”) and special commendation (“Salmon Fishing, Posession Bay”) from judge James Applewhite

June: release of Making Notes: Music of the Carolinas. Anthology from Novello Press. Marjorie made her singing debut at Quail Ridge Books in June. Look for Hudson essay “Drinking, Dogs, and Darlin’ Corey.”

July:
Thursday, July 1: 1 – 6 pm. Workshop on “Virginia Dare” for NC Teachers at NCCAT Center on Ocracoke Island
